WIRELESS LAN ASSOCIATION (WLANA) APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR Willoughby, Ohio - April 18, 2000 - The Wireless LAN Association (WLANA) today announced Greg DiCillo as its new director. DiCillo assumes this role just as the industry has begun to soar. "The wireless local area industry is exploding in the commercial, industrial, and consumer marketplace," said Jeff Abramowitz, WLANA president. "We are responding to extraordinary interest in local and personal area wireless technologies and applications. Greg is an ideal person to manage WLANA as we grow to meet the needs of this dynamic market." "WLANA has established itself as an objective source of information for individuals wanting to make informed decisions about their wireless networking needs," said DiCillo. "With the burgeoning industry growth, the need for market education has never been greater. I'm excited to be part of such an important organization in these exhilarating times." DiCillo is a principal at Life Cycle Strategies, Inc., a management-consulting firm specializing in market strategy and planning. He is familiar with the industry and the organization, having served as a member of the WLANA board of directors in 1997. DiCillo replaces Mack Sullivan who has recently taken a position in the wireless LAN industry.
